This Position reports to: Procurement Manager Your role and responsibilities In this role you will have the opportunity to oversee warehouse operations, managing a team of employees who receive, handle, store, and dispatch products, systems, and services to customers. Each day you will work with internal and external to meet production schedules and workflow. The work model for the role is: Onsite at Florence, SC facility. This role is contributing to the Electrification Service You will be mainly accountable for: Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet warehouse demands as per production schedules and workflow; Develops and maintains departmental work instructions for all tasks. Codes and prepares proper receipt/dispatch paperwork; Ensures maintenance of equipment and facilities. Identifies and recommends technical equipment and facility improvements as necessary; Optimizes warehouse capacity, inventory, and floor utilization. Recommends measures to improve service quality, increase departmental efficiency, and boost the performance of work crews and equipment; Supervises and assists in daily warehouse and shipping operations. Qualifications for the role Bachelor degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field PLUS minimum 5 years warehouse distribution or manufacturing supervision experience OR Associate degree PLUS minimum 7 years related experience OR HS diploma/GED PLUS minimum 9 years related experience Experienced in warehouse, including receiving, storing, inventory control, order fulfillment for production, and shipping. Must have strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Excel, and MRP/ERP purchasing software. SAP, a plus Previous experience in managing large volume of parts and components Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
