Join our team as a Senior Crew Chief! The Senior Crew Chief is responsible for scheduling maintenance, maintaining the manufacturer inspection program, directing discrepancy resolution, and ensuring all tasks performed on assigned aircraft meet standards set forth by the FAA, aircraft manufacturer and Sentry standards.
What You'll Do As a Senior Crew Chief, you will:
Analyze and troubleshoot aircraft malfunctions and diagnostic information through onboard aircraft computers to determine maintenance actions required to resolve issues/failures and apply said actions according to FAA, Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and company policies and guidance. Communicates with manufacturer representatives as necessary to expedite troubleshooting and obtain technical information pertaining to aircraft. Perform various routine/non-routine aircraft maintenance and repairs including but not limited to, avionics/electrical systems, powerplant/engines, sheet-metal/structures to include flight controls, hydraulics, interior/upholstery/cabin management, ensuring the aircraft remains in an airworthy state and safe for flight in accordance with FAA regulations and OEM specifications. Oversee maintenance being performed at outside agencies ensuring costs align with work being performed and all work is compliant with OEM Standards, FAA Regulations, and company policies. Maintain manufacturer inspection program for assigned aircraft ensuring all aircraft parts are replaced at the end of their service life. Document all parts information and service times in aircraft logbook to remain compliant with SIAMCO's FAA Letter of Authorization (LOA) to maintain the value of the aircraft. Monitor and stay up to date on all applicable OEM service bulletins, system software revision levels, and service changes for assigned aircraft by servicing and/or outsourcing all necessary repairs in a timely manner to ensure the aircraft remains in safe operation condition and to maximize aircraft availability. Assume responsibility for returning faulty part cores to their respective vendors to avoid additional charges. Properly documents all maintenance and part changes in the aircraft logbook and fulfills computerized maintenance program recordkeeping requirements to remain compliant with the LOA and maintain the value of the aircraft. Provide operational leadership and mentoring to other maintenance staff members on specific aircraft maintenance techniques, troubleshooting, aircraft manufacturer maintenance resources/points of contact, ground service operational procedures and techniques, electronic & paper recordkeeping, and company financial processing and budgeting. Maintain relationship with CWA maintenance, management and operations teams to coordinate operational procedures between Sentry and the airport. Oversees inventory control and purchasing of jet fuel stored at the hanger coordinating timing with market fluctuations.
What it Takes
Associate Degree or equivalent work experience. Minimum of 10 years related work experience. FlightSafety Master Technician Certification. Current Aircraft and Power Plant License with at least two years of aircraft and power plant school. FAA Inspectors Authorization. Five or more years of turbine aircraft maintenance experience. Manufacturers' factory training on aircraft and engines for Sentry aircraft beneficial but training can be acquired after on-the-job training is completed. Previous experience as an aircraft maintenance technician. Possess a valid U.S. passport. Ability to read parts manuals and understand parts room procedures. Knowledge of aircraft weight and balance, instruments and autopilots, and Federal Air Regulations.
