DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:

  • Manages annual audits and implements policies and procedures related to Customs Trade Partnerships Against Terrorism (C-TPAT) security and C-TPAT Trade Compliance programs to ensure compliance with import and export laws and regulations .
  • Provides input in contract negotiation and evaluates service standards for customs brokers, freight forwarders, consultants and Third Party Logistics (3PL) service providers
  • Collaborates with multiple departments regarding import procedures, oversees inbound shipments (air, ocean, and over the road), and manages service providers to ensure streamlined flow of materials to NOA and third-party logistics providers.
  • Creates and facilitates training programs and procedural manuals for customs compliance throughout the company.
  • Interacts with trade associates, consultants, and customs attorneys.
  • Determines harmonized tariff classifications, eligibility for preference trade programs.
  • Responsible for monthly payment of US Customs Payments (Duty, Taxes, Tariffs) and Canadian Goods and Service Tax (GST).
  • Oversees and develops assigned staff.

SUMMARY OF REQUIREMENTS:

  • Three (3) to five (5) years of related experience required.
  • One to two years of supervisory experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of US and Canadian customs and basic knowledge of Latin American customs regulations.
  • Requires knowledge of CBP regulations (Duty, Tariff, and Drawback)
  • Requires knowledge of Canadian Customs Regulations and Goods and Service Tax (GST)
  • Must be knowledgeable with the use of Microsoft Office programs
  • Preferred knowledge of AS/400 and Oracle Applications
  • Undergraduate degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, a related field or equivalent.
  • US Customs Brokers License or work experience.

This position is hybrid in North Bend, WA. Hybrid positions require regular onsite work following the schedule and guidelines for their division. This position is not open to fully remote status at this time.
This position includes a base salary range of $105,300 - $168,500 annually, potential for a semi-annual discretionary performance bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and paid time off.
