Talbott Recovery is currently looking for a Fulltime Intake Coordinator for our Main Campus on Hunter Road, Atlanta. Qualifications

Position Summary

Initiates and completes the referral and intake process, determines appropriate level of care and maintains follow-up communication with referral sources, families, patients and program staff to maintain a quality intake.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates the ability to obtain accurate information and interpret the patients' history of dependence/disorder, recognizing the physical and behavioral symptoms and progression of dependency/disorder; necessary to complete intake/assessment.
  • Demonstrates the ability to determine callers' appropriateness for Talbott Recovery Campus's services and seeks advice from other clinical staff as indicated.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of community services for referral for caller not appropriate for Talbott Recovery Campus services.
  • Communicates to all involved personnel, information about patient admissions, transfers and unusual occurrences.
  • Establishes a referral tracking sheet on each admission and delivers to appropriate personnel.
  • Encodes referral information in marketing system and informs Director of Business Development of any new and/or updated information.
  • Explains the evaluation and admission process to the potential patient/referral source and informs patient of necessary items to bring for treatment.
  • Documents all intake information into database including demographics and all appropriate assessments.
  • Ensures intake paperwork is complete and accurate. Creates intake files. Files intake-related documents.
  • Works collaboratively with the Business Office staff, Utilization Review staff, Nursing Staff and Residential Assistants.
  • Maintains professional relations and assures information is communicated effectively with staff as well as to patients, families and referral sources.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field and or equivelent education and experiences will be considered. Master's degree preferred
  • Experience working in a psychiatric/substance abuse facility is a plus.
