Minimum Qualifications
Requires technical knowledge in the field acquired through an apprenticeship, a 2-year degree, or professional certificate. Please contact your Human Resources office for an evaluation of education/experience in lieu of the required minimum qualifications.

Position Summary
The UGA Griffin Campus Office of Academic & Student Affairs serves as the one stop shop for all current students and prospective students. Services in the unit range from recruitment marketing, community engagement, admissions, student engagement & support, graduation, and orientation. The Student Service Professional will support the mission and roles of the unit while ensuring efficient operations, organization, and communication. The role also assists with the coordination of the new student communication and event organization. The role will assist with recruitment, marketing, and data management initiatives. This role will report to the Assistant Director for Academic & Student Affairs.

Office Organization and Management

  • Provide friendly and responsive presence in the Office of Academic & Student Affairs interacting with students. faculty, staff, and the public via phone, walk-ins, and online.
  • Organize and maintain our unit for best efficiency of resources and communication.
  • Assist with unit events and projects.
  • Supervise student staff supporting the unit.
  • Assist with development of recruitment materials and develop and maintain this inventory.
  • Foster and maintain partnerships with campus departments, student organizations, and community agencies to expand basic needs support.

& Recruitment

  • Assist with the development of a review process for assessing physical and virtual recruitment and marketing materials and updating materials as needed.
  • Represent the Office of Academic & Student Affairs at appropriate meetings, campus activities and external events as needed.
  • Assist with campus tours and other events for prospective students, families, and community partners.
