The targeted hiring range for this full-time position is $67,900 - $91,600 depending on qualifications; however, the expanded salary range provides opportunities for advancement. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and job location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, competencies, experience, and relevant education, training or a combination of these things and market demand. Job Description

GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB:

Research, develop and implement the necessary tools, processes and equipment to manufacture footwear. Provide leadership for optimizing process and manufacturing capabilities using the fundamentals of design, Lean principles, engineering / quality tools, data analysis and automation technology. Design and lead process improvement projects. Develop, maintain and assess manufacturing standards including labor and materials.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Provide thought leadership for process improvements and provide technical assistance to manufacturing teams to optimize performance and implement changes across multiple facilities.

* Organize, coordinate, lead and/or participate in process improvement efforts to support operations team including completion of associated engineering changes/projects with the overarching objective of driving continuous improvement and manufacturing cost reductions.

* Identify opportunities to standardize products, processes and to initiate plans that drive improved performance.

* Develop measures of success, track performance, communicate results & develop action plans to improve.

* Set, maintain and document labor standards for manufacturing operations at all facilities.

* Conduct material analysis for bill of material (BOM) accuracy and assist in setting material waste factors.

* Manage external suppliers as they are being utilized on specific projects to assure achievement of agreed upon objectives.

Qualifications

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:

* Bachelor's Degree (Master's Degree preferred) in Manufacturing, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering from an accredited four-year college or university (or equivalent) and three to five years related experience.

ADDITIONAL DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:

* Excellent Microsoft Office skills (especially Excel).

* The position requires varied manufacturing, process and material experience along with a strong general engineering background, analytic aptitude and practical application.

* Working knowledge of Design for Manufacturing principles, process control and statistical techniques, 2D and 3D CAD/CAM and PLC's

* LEAN 6 sigma and TPS knowledge/practical experience

* Minitab experience

* Microsoft Project experience

REQUIRED LICENSES, CERTIFICATES OR KNOWLEDGE:

* Knowledge and understanding of material control, flow and ERP systems
