Job Title: Accountant Job Description We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Accountant to perform transactional accounting for field offices. This role involves working with JD Edwards to process vouchers, enter journal entries, handle commissions, and complete period closing reconciliations on a monthly basis. The Accountant will also manage payroll, 1099 processing, and provide training for new contractors, while maintaining strong relationships with assigned offices and undertaking office-specific accounting projects. Responsibilities * Perform transactional accounting for field offices using JD Edwards. * Process vouchers, enter journal entries, and handle commissions. * Complete period closing reconciliations monthly. * Manage payroll and 1099 processing. * Train new contractors and maintain relationships with assigned offices. * Support office-specific accounting projects. * Gradually increase support from one office to four or five. Essential Skills * 1 year of accounting experience. * Proficiency in JD Edwards, financial analysis, and finance. * Experience in 1099 and payroll processing, including year-end closings. * Ability to perform transactional accounting tasks. * Comfortable communicating with C-suite executives. Additional Skills & Qualifications * Experience in financial services. * Familiarity with SQL and AP processes. * Previous experience or internship in accounting. Why Work Here? Work Environment This position is remote, with working hours from Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm. It is a one-year contract-to-hire role, with a salary offered when brought on permanently.
