Chicago, IllinoisAdd to Favorite Jobs Email this Job The Division of Cardiology in the Department of Medicine at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine seeks a full-time, non-tenure-eligible Advanced Heart Failure & Transplant Clinician-Educator at the rank of Assistant through full Professor. Responsibilities include supporting the inpatient cardiology service and the ambulatory clinic. Qualified candidates will have a strong background in cardiovascular medicine, have completed ACGME-accredited cardiovascular disease and advanced heart failure fellowship programs, and hold current board-certification in cardiology and advanced heart failure. Candidates will have experience in clinical trial leadership with a robust bibliography of peer-reviewed publications that demonstrate productivity and the ability to obtain extramural funding support. The successful candidate will be an outstanding clinician and have experience mentoring trainees and junior faculty. Clinician scientists considered for the role will integrate clinical expertise and research within the ongoing work in the Division of Cardiology. In addition to the skills as noted, the successful candidate will be expected to provide leadership, mentorship and training as appropriate to medical students, residents, fellowship trainees and/or graduate students. Salary is commensurate with experience. The start date is negotiable and the position will remain open until filled. The expected base pay range for this position is $330,000 - $405,000. Northwestern University has provided a pay range representing its good faith estimate of what the university reasonably expects to pay for the position. The pay offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on factors including (but not limited to) the experience and qualifications of the selected candidate including years since terminal degree, training, and field or discipline; departmental budget availability; internal comparators; and external market pay for comparable jobs.
