Job Title: Project Controls Specialist
Location(s): Waterford, CT
Responsibilities
- Assist with Capital Projects annual budget, monthly forecasts, and rider filing data.
- Gather and analyze financial data pertaining tlabor support for large, long-term capital projects.
- Investigate variances with actual costs.
- Requires knowledge of GAAP (General Accepted Accounting Principles) required for month-end liabilities and reporting.
- Implements internal control policy and procedures.
- Serves as a liaison between the project management team and various internal groups, such as station departments
- Ability tdevelop Ad Hoc MS Excel models tsummarize large data sets.
- Ability tlead meetings at station location periodically.
Other related duties include:
- Self-starter and makes decisions independently.
- Strong attention tdetail and high ethical standards.
- Proactive in identifying and solving problems of high complexity.
- Strong organizational skills and analytical / logical approach.
- Ability tsynthesize diverse information (technical, schedule, and cost) and exercise good judgment.
- Proficient in Excel and financial systems
What soft skill requirements dyou have
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written
- SAP, Excel, Power Query
High Level Project Overview:
- Serve as Cost Analyst tsupport Project Managers with multi-million dollar capital projects.
Preferred Years of Experience:
- For now I'd be open tall options as long as they've obtained a bachelor degree.
Education:
- Bachelors degree
- Other education - Accounting, Business, Finance, Construction management.
- Nuclear, Construction, Manufacturing, Utility, Finance, Accounting, Cost controls,
