Job Description

North America Events creates and executes events and experiences to support Visa's client and employee initiatives across the U.S. and Canada. We are responsible for various internal and external meetings and events supporting NA Leadership and the regional sales team on relevant business priorities and key objectives. As a member of the NA Events team, you will play a key role in event operations and logistics for a variety of event programs including large-scale client conferences with C-level attendees, Client Roundtables, User Conferences, Hospitality Events and Annual Sales Meetings. This role is ideal for a hospitality and service oriented, team focused and driven individual who thrives in a fast-paced and challenging environment. Working under the direction of the Sr. Director, North America Events, the Event Analyst will support the planning and delivery of event initiatives and partnering across our team of event professionals.

Responsibilities

  • Work with the NA Events team to help with planning and support of onsite and offsite events as directed

  • Support on-site conference room reservations, visitor badging, supplies, shipping and relevant tasks, logistical and project management of client council programs

  • Operational support on Annual Operating Budget process for the NA Events Team

  • Manage payment process across event portfolio including partnering with procurement and finance on SOWs, PO's, virtual card and p-card payments.

  • Research and develop relationships with all types of event vendors, including caterers, venues, entertainment and more.

  • Assist with the planning of special events, including client dinners, receptions and business meetings. This includes researching venues and making recommendations, billing and staffing.

  • Provides support across event management tasks including building registration sites on Swoogo, managing reporting /RSVP updates, budget tracking and preparing briefing and production materials.

  • Leverage AI solutions to advance registration management processes, program budgeting, and overall project efficiency.

  • Administer the NA sponsorship assets program, partnering with Finance Operations on asset tracking, compliance and ticket distribution.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

* 2 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD, or PhD)

Preferred Qualifications

* 3 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or more than 2 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD)

* Experience in payments, fintech, financial services, or another relevant area strongly preferred.

* Knowledge of relevant software programs (e.g., Swoogo, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint), with the ability to learn new software and operating systems

* Demonstrates effective interpersonal and communication skills, both verbally and in writing, strong ability to synthesize information

* Process-oriented with ability to think outside the box

* Demonstrates close attention to detail in a demanding and fast-paced environment

* Ability to use discretion and exercise independent and sound judgment

* Ability to handle multiple projects and shifting priorities

* Team player mindset

* Flexibility to adjust hours and work the hours necessary to meet operating and business needs, morning and evening staffing sometimes required.

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 102,600.00 to 145,150.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
