Overview

A unique and rewarding opportunity for a Float Infusion Registered Nurse who is highly motivated to provide both technical and clinical expertise in patient care. This position supports multiple neurology and rheumatology outpatient-based infusion suites throughout Florida.

Job Summary

  • Position: Per diem/as needed.
  • Self-Scheduling: Infusion suites operate Monday through Friday during clinic hours.
  • Location: Greatest need is in the Orlando area.
    • Additional needs in Davenport and Maitland.
    • Occasional coverage in Lake Worth, Stuart, Trinity, Vero Beach, and Oldsmar.
  • Local Work: 8-hour shifts if you're working within Orlando.
  • Travel/Up to 3 hours: Up to 14-hour shifts, including travel time to and from the infusion suite.
  • Flexibility Required: We are looking for someone who can adapt to schedule changes and support our infusion suites as needed. We provide a 2-3 week notice of shifts.
  • Benefits: Compensation for travel time, mileage reimbursement, and food stipend.
    • Additional benefits depending on location coverage will include hotel accommodations and rental car.

Responsibilities

Under general supervision, provides professional nursing care for patients adhering to national and company standards and guidelines for specialty regulations. Demonstrates knowledge of physiological, psychological, and developmental and age specific differences in the patient population including late adolescence, adulthood, middle age, and the elderly. Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to provide for assessment and therapeutic management of patient/family needs. Supports and adheres to the Intrafusion by McKesson Compliance Program, to include the Code of Ethics, Standard Operating Procedures, and Business Standards.

  • Plan, implement, coordinate, evaluate and promote the continuity of care consistent with established standards and practices.
  • Prepares and administers therapies under the direction and supervision of a physician.
  • Maintains neat and orderly infusion suite.
  • Facilitates clinical operations and patient care.
  • Inter-professional collaboration amongst Intrafusion team and practice staff members.
  • Participates in professional development activities and maintains current knowledge of infusion nursing.

Qualifications

Education/Training:

Graduate from an accredited program for professional nursing education, BSN preferred.

RN state license and current registration with the State Board of Nursing in practicing state.

Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA or American Red Cross healthcare provider hands on course)

Must maintain continuing education requirements.

Experience:

Minimum 5-7 years nursing experience required, one year or more of infusion therapy experience preferred.
