DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As an Aging Services Specialist, you will support the ADRD Office in the overall operation and performance of the implementation of Act 111 ensuring that the Office runs efficiently and effectively in accordance with its mission, vision, and statutory responsibilities. This work will include providing staff support in the drafting, implementation, and evaluation of the Alzheimer's State Plan, and other annual reports. You will assist in the implementation of state policies related to Alzheimer's and dementia care, track policy progress and ensure that key milestones are met. As a subject matter expert, you will engage with public health efforts and healthy aging activities on ways to support individuals with dementia and caregivers as well as collaborating with local agencies, community-based organizations, and healthcare providers to ensure successful program implementation. Establishing and maintaining relationships with other agencies and organizations in the community to meet community needs and prevent duplication of services is essential. You will have the opportunity to participate in public speaking engagements to share information about dementia-related programs, policies, and initiatives with diverse audiences, including community groups, stakeholders, and partner organizations. - Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 60-minute lunch.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, two days per week. Management may discontinue the telework arrangement at any time, In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Two years of professional experience in a human services program conducting human services related research or providing social services to clients, and a bachelor's degree; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Other Requirements:
