About this opportunity:
We are looking for an outstanding graphic designer for Herman Miller Gaming. Someone who understands the gaming environment and culture and the needs of those customers within the space. We need a creative problem solver who doesn't settle for anything less than the best design solutions to meet the need of the consumer and/or athlete.

The ideal designer will be passionate about elevating the consumer experience through outstanding craft, attention to detial, and will push the limits of Design! Team collaboration & relationship building is key, while project management skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to help lead project teams to completion is critical.

We are looking for a key contributor to provide communications and graphic design leadership for Herman Miller Gaming in identifying and solving communications problems in support of business plans; share expertise with internal and external partners by advertising and providing design support based on established brand strategy.

In this role, you'll:

  • Help establish and maintain graphic, format, and process standards to be implemented and maintained by yourself and others.

  • Commission appropriate resources in the areas of photography, illustration, and possibly design appropriate for programs and projects.

  • Help establish integrated design directions in support of Herman Miller Gaming's voice (in communicating to its customers) with an emphasis on the visual interpretation of Herman Miller Gaming's image.

  • Understand and consult on best solutions for communications problems presented by internal partners.

  • Partner with, Editorial, Partnerships, Brand Marketing, Product, and the Retail retail team to complete the design work in an effective and timely manner.

  • Work collaboratively with program and project team members to achieve the best solution for the design and communications problem.

  • Persuasively present complex conceptual proposals and information to groups and individuals to gain agreement and explain directions; answer questions or objections as to how the proposal responds to business needs; and facilitate discussion to clarify purposes and objectives.

  • Provide clear, meaningful, and constructive feedback to internal or external resources that are implementing programs, projects, or standards.

  • Performs additional responsibilities as requested to achieve business objectives.

Requirements

  • Education/Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design required.

  • 5+ years of experience in implementing graphic design projects and programs required.

  • Licenses and Certifications

  • Creative future visioning, high taste-level and strategic thinking

  • Ability to translate consumer knowledge and insights into design solutions and narratives.

  • Team oriented mentality and proven willingness to partner with others.

  • Passion for culture, fashion, and sport

  • Proven experience in photo, video, and illustration art direction.

  • Proficient in Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop.

  • Excellent verbal, written, and relationship communication skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple, complex projects in a timely manner.

  • Proven organizational and time management skills; must be self-motivated and able to work independently.
