Job Duties: Vice President, Data Governance with Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC in Dallas, Texas. Advise internal stakeholders on target state of technical data warehousing and data flow implementation of data governance and data management policies and standards. Author project-related documentation, including data standards, reporting data dictionaries, and data models. Work closely with firmwide teams to influence the tooling that is being developed to enable the data governance framework. Collaborate with engineering teams to understand and build data models and data quality controls that meet the Firm's data requirements. Coordinate workstreams to document data lineage from source to target and work with engineering partners to digitize these processes. Provide frequent project updates to project stakeholders, sponsors, and users of all levels.

Job Requirements: Master's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Business Analytics, Management Information Systems, Financial Data Analytics, or a related field, such as Mathematical Finance, and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or a related role OR Bachelor's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Business Analytics, Management Information Systems, Financial Data Analytics, or a related field, such as Mathematical Finance, and five (5) years of experience in the job offered or in a related role. Prior experience must include three (3) years of experience (with a Master's degree) OR five (5) years of experience (with a Bachelor's degree) with each of the following skills: hands on experience with data governance and associated policy, and standards implementation in a financial institution; working with the regulatory report owners to identify critical data elements across the data lifecycle; creating data governance capabilities such as Metadata Management, Data Quality, Reference Data Management, Data Modeling, and Data Lineage; responding to regulatory requests for data risk management framework implementation and other requests for regulatory reporting on Counterparty Credit Risk, Market Risk, and Operational Risk; conducting working sessions and onboarding different data stakeholders to educate and assign responsibility and accountability for data governance capabilities; improving data quality of critical data elements across different regulatory reports; and writing policies, standards, procedures, and playbooks for data strategy and data governance capabilities.
