- This job is responsible for developing and delivering complex requirements to accomplish business goals. Key responsibilities of the job include ensuring that software is developed to meet functional, non-functional and compliance requirements, and solutions are well designed with maintainability/ease of integration and testing built-in from the outset. Job expectations include a strong knowledge of development and testing practices common to the industry and design and architectural patterns.
LOB Specific Summary: GCDW Technology provides an application suite that supports Collateral eligibility, Margin Calls, Collateral balances, exposure trades and Reference data to support Collateral Margin management and various internal and external reg. reporting requirement of different line of businesses including Collateral operations, Global Liquidity Management, Global Repo finance etc., GCDW provides a single source for visibility to firm and client collateral on a value-dated basis in order to satisfy day-to-day funding efficiency. This role will develop, enhance and support a range of critical applications built in .NET4.6+ with some Python work. The successful candidate will be expected to liaise with both technical and business colleagues locally in Jersey City and at international locations in Singapore, India and London. The successful candidate will work as part of a wider development team spread between Jersey City, Singapore and India. Current team members will provide support to enable you to familiarise yourself with the relevant functional aspects of the development role. Responsibilities:
- Codes solutions and unit test to deliver a requirement/story per the defined acceptance criteria and compliance requirements
- Designs, develops, and modifies architecture components, application interfaces, and solution enablers while ensuring principal architecture integrity is maintained
- Mentors other software engineers and coach team on Continuous Integration and Continuous Development (CI-CD) practices and automating tool stack
- Executes story refinement, definition of requirements, and estimating work necessary to realize a story through the delivery lifecycle
- Performs spike/proof of concept as necessary to mitigate risk or implement new ideas
- Automates manual release activities
- Designs, develops, and maintains automated test suites (integration, regression, performance)
- Work individually or part of a team on developing, supporting, enhancing, extending, testing, and delivering existing and new software
- Collaborate and work with multi-regional teams using Agile best practices
- Participate in software design, development, testing, L3 support, requirements gathering and creating functional specifications documents
Required Qualifications
- Deep functional knowledge or hands on design experience with Web Services (REST, SOAP, etc)
- Understanding of API design and documentation.
- MS SQL Server
- TSQL, SSIS SSRS, Git/Bitbucket, Autosys or similar job schedular
- .NET framework 4.5+ / .Net CORE (C#), Python, REST Web API, Augular, Javascript, ASP.Net MVC.
