Job Description:
This job is responsible for developing and delivering complex requirements to accomplish business goals. Key responsibilities of the job include ensuring that software is developed to meet functional, non-functional and compliance requirements, coding solutions, unit testing, and ensuring the solution can be integrated successfully into the overall application/system with clear, robust, and well-tested interfaces. Job expectations include an awareness of development and testing practices in the industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Codes solutions and unit test to deliver a requirement/story per the defined acceptance criteria and compliance requirements

  • Utilizes multiple architectural components (across data, application, business) in design and development of client requirements

  • Performs Continuous Integration and Continuous Development (CI-CD) activities

  • Contributes to story refinement and definition of requirements

  • Participates in estimating work necessary to realize a story/requirement through the delivery lifecycle

  • Contributes to existing test suites (integration, regression, performance), analyze test reports, identify any test issues/errors, and triage the underlying cause

  • Performs spike/proof of concept as necessary to mitigate risk or implement new ideas

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience (8+ years) in software engineering, including advanced expertise in Java, Angular and related technologies.

  • Strong proficiency in Java programming with a deep understanding of core Java concepts and development best practices.

  • Strong understanding and hands-on experience with developing, deploying and maintaining applications using Spring Boot and Spring Framework.

  • Experience in Application and Web servers like JBoss, Apache, Tomcat etc.

  • Experience in both front-end and back-end development including working with frameworks, webservers and building end to end solutions.

  • Solid experience working in containerized environments.

  • Proven experience in designing , developing and maintaining microservices based applications including working with RESTful APIs. Good understanding of distributed technologies and frameworks.

  • Excellent understanding of relational databases like Oracle. Proficiency with version control systems like Git, Bitbucket and hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment

  • Must have a minimum Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent work experience.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience working in financial services or a similarly regulated industry is a plus.

  • Strong Software Development in the large Banks Experience with AI technologies like Chatbot development etc.

  • Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.

  • Experience with cloud technologies, particularly AWS or Azure is a plus.

  • Demonstrated leadership ability, including mentoring and developing talent within a technical team.
