Job Overview

We are seeking a full-time, salaried Exercise Program Coordinator to lead and grow our Cardiac Rehabilitation Program. The Exercise Program Coordinator is responsible for investigative discovery (including quality assurance, evidence-based practice, and research studies) in pediatric exercise physiology, in conjunction with the Medical Director of the Laboratory.The Exercise Program Coordinator is responsible for investigative discovery (including quality assurance, evidence-based practice, and research studies) in pediatric exercise physiology, in conjunction with the Medical Director of the Laboratory.

This position is 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM, with occasional evening coverage until 5:30 PM.

The ideal candidate is a motivated, forward-thinking professional with advanced knowledge of cardiac rehabilitation and clinical program development. This role includes oversight of program operations, integration of telemetry software, strategic growth initiatives, accreditation preparation, educational content creation, and development of tailored exercise treatment plans across inpatient, outpatient, and home-based settings.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
An employee in this position may be called upon to do any or all of the following essential functions. These examples do not include all of the functions which the employee may be expected to perform.

* Provides developmentally appropriate diagnostic and interventions services consistent with contemporary, evidence-based practice in discipline area and department quality assurance standards.
* Participates in systematic, planned professional development activities to improve the clinical, educational, research and advocacy goals of the department and hospital.
* Leads quality assurance and quality improvement standards within specialty area. Responsible for completing case management activities.
* Conducts quarterly chart audit for quality assurance in care and documentation.
* Directs day to day activities for the specialty program, including program development, growth, and program improvement. Develops clinical competencies and provides specialty training.
* Initiates and guides continuum of care practices across specialty program/diagnostic area.
* Provides program development including outreach programs and off-site training.
* Provides clinical and operational orientation for new staff.
* Responsible for leading student precepting and oversight.
* Facilitates staff participation in research and professional presentation opportunities.
* Oversees outcome reporting and database management.
* Acts as point of contact for multidisciplinary teams/clinics in diagnostic area.
* Supports the family to become engaged and active participants in their child's health care program and partners with the family to provide their own care coordination when appropriate.
* Provides ongoing support to patient/family as needed and helps to facilitate shared decision making between the family and health care team across the care continuum.
* Supports the development of self-management skills in the child and family.
* Facilitates patient transitions by ensuring that the child's optimal care outcomes were achieved and not impacted by the transition.
* Maintains all program specific national standards and requirements of accrediting organizations including collection and reporting of data to appropriate national registries and databases.
* Develops and delivers presentations and other materials for use during program-related events and meetings.
* Provides education to healthcare team on the management of specific patient population needs.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Bachelor's degree in an exercise-related field.
Experience: Three (3) years of related clinical experience. Experience in cardiac rehab is required; pediatric experience is preferred.
Equivalency: Master's degree may substitute for the required experience on a year-for year basis.
Certification(s): BLS for Healthcare Providers/CPR.
Licensure(s): N/A

Salary Information
Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience.

Annual Salary Range (Based on 40 hours worked per week): $68,066.41 to $102,099.61
