Job Description:
This job is responsible for developing and delivering complex requirements to accomplish business goals. Key responsibilities of the job include ensuring that software is developed to meet functional, non-functional and compliance requirements, coding solutions, unit testing, and ensuring the solution can be integrated successfully into the overall application/system with clear, robust, and well-tested interfaces. Job expectations include an awareness of development and testing practices in the industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Codes solutions and unit test to deliver a requirement/story per the defined acceptance criteria and compliance requirements

  • Utilizes multiple architectural components (across data, application, business) in design and development of client requirements

  • Performs Continuous Integration and Continuous Development (CI-CD) activities

  • Contributes to story refinement and definition of requirements

  • Participates in estimating work necessary to realize a story/requirement through the delivery lifecycle

  • Contributes to existing test suites (integration, regression, performance), analyze test reports, identify any test issues/errors, and triage the underlying cause

  • Performs spike/proof of concept as necessary to mitigate risk or implement new ideas

Required Qualifications:

  • 8- 10 years in software engineering, including advanced expertise in full stack development using Angular, Spring and modern web/mobile technologies.

  • 8-10 years of strong experience, expertise, proficiency in Java programming with a deep understanding of core Java concepts and development best practices .

  • 8+ years of strong understanding and hands-on experience with developing, deploying, and maintaining applications using Spring Boot and Spring Framework.

  • 8+ years of experience working in containerized environments using OpenShift and Kubernetes.

  • Proven experience in designing, developing and maintaining microservices based applications including working with RESTful APIs and working with containerized applications .

  • 8+ years of proven expertise and advanced proficiency in Angular framework for building responsive and dynamic front-end applications.

  • 3+ years of experience in mobile iOS app development using Swift and cross-platform tools like Flutter or React Native.

  • 8+ years of experience developing ADA-compliant web and mobile applications with strong understanding of accessibility standards such as WCAG 2.2, ARIA roles and assistive technologies.

  • Knowledge of distributed systems and event-driven architectures using Apache Kafka, Pub/Sub or similar messaging platforms

  • 8+ years of hands-on experience with NoSQL and document-oriented databases including MarkLogic DB and MongoDB Proficiency in data modeling for schema-less or semi structured data, knowledge of indexing strategies and performance tuning

  • Proficiency with version control systems like Git /Bitbucket and hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to lead complex technical discussions and make critical decisions.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Self-motivated, proactive, and results-driven with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Demonstrated leadership ability, including mentoring and developing talent within a technical team.

  • 5+ years of experience working in financial services or a similarly regulated industry is a plus.

  • Consults with the business and operations to identify and understand challenges and opportunities to improve the use and effectiveness of technology, find creative solutions through knowledge of the domain, practical experiments, and Proof of Concepts, and aligns the solution intent and architectural vision to an evolving backlog of technology change.

  • Works with product management and other stakeholders to plan and prioritize technology focused backlog items for the architecture runway to enable business epics/features.

  • Performs design and code reviews to ensure all non-functional requirements for a solution are sufficiently met (for example, security, performance, maintainability, scalability, usability, and reliability)

  • Leads rapid shaping of a high-level architecture with details filled in with emerging business requirements and ensures architecture is flexible, modular, and designed to adapt easily.

  • Leads business requirements decomposition for end-to-end implementation in alignment with architectural/application blueprint.

  • Utilizes the defined best practices, templates, and documentation to create solution designs.

  • Bachelors degree in computer science/engineering or equivalent work experience.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Strong Development experience in Java (Core or Full Stack)

  • Familiarity with different aspects payments processing and modernization efforts in the industry.

  • Strong experience in application security and risk management is a plus.

  • Experience with cloud technologies, particularly AWS or Azure is a plus.
