As the Production Planner/Scheduler, you will manage the resin production schedule and right product inventory levels at the right time. You will balance operational capacity and efficiency, inventory, and customer requirements to set and adjust the resin production schedule in a batch manufacturing environment. This is a key role within the Oak Creek Resin Operations and will have an impact on the Oak Creek plant's performance and overall customer satisfaction.

You will report to the Operations Manager and be located onsite in Oak Creek, WI. PPG offers excellent Medical, Dental, & Vision Benefits; matching 401k + retirement savings; and Paid Vacation, Holiday pay.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop the Master Scheduler for all resin products produced at the Oak Creek facility to meet demand and customer requirements while minimizing inventories.
  • Communicate and escalate any supply concerns and collaborate with supply chain teams, and procurement from discovery through resolution.
  • Provide accurate information to manufacturing management to support the highest level of resource utilization.
  • Ensure the availability of raw materials to meet Oracle timing requirements and adhere to the short-term weekly production schedule needs by anticipating and mitigating any raw material delays.
  • Maintain assigned intermediate items inventory health.
  • Minimize recoverable assets by monitoring inventory.
  • Coordinate monthly planning and weekly scheduling to meet customer service.
  • Develop a long-range production plan based on forecasted customer requirements that utilizes production capabilities, minimized production costs, and does not exceed inventory stocking levels and principles.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to improve accuracy of the schedule and efficacy of the resin plant.

Qualifications:

  • BS/BA in operations, Supply Chain, Logistics, or Engineering OR 10+ years of Supply Chain experience in a high-performance manufacturing facility with planning either raw materials or Finished goods.
  • First-hand MRP systems and processes experience.
  • Advanced Excel Skills (Pivot tables, VLOOKUP's).
  • Oracle ERP and/or MES experience preferred.
  • APICS or ASCM certification (CSCP, CPIM) preferred.
  • Experience with Business Intelligence Tools (MS Power BI) or SQL applications is a plus
