Summary:

The Quality Monitoring Specialist plays a key role in supporting clinical excellence and patient safety by monitoring, assessing, and improving the quality of care and services provided across the hospital. This position is responsible for collecting, analyzing, and reporting data related to clinical performance, patient outcomes, regulatory compliance, and accreditation standards. The specialist collaborates with medical staff, nursing, and administrative departments to identify areas for improvement, ensure adherence to established protocols, and support quality improvement initiatives. A strong understanding of healthcare standards, attention to detail, and the ability to interpret complex data are essential for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

* Track and analyze hospital performance metrics, including patient safety indicators, clinical outcomes, and compliance with healthcare standards (e.g., CMS, Joint Commission).

* Perform regular audits of clinical documentation, procedures, and patient records to ensure adherence to quality protocols and best practices.

Other information:

Qualifications:

      • Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) required, master's degree in nursing preferred
      • Current NC nursing license.
      • Minimum of 5 years of clinical hospital experience
      • Demonstrated experience in analyzing patient care trends and providing data-driven care recommendations.

      Work Environment:

      May be required to work alternate schedule or additional hours to accommodate the needs of the department.
