Position Highlights

Dining Service Attendants at '85 North are responsible for multiple and varied tasks. One of the most important requirements of this position is to have excellent customer service skills. DSA's are trained to prepare and serve food products in the following areas depending on their experience and/or restaurant needs: Cashier - rings customers in correctly and assists with immediate needs; Attendant - maintains cleanliness in the dining room and assists customers as needed; Station specific areas - cooks, preps, and ensures all guests are taken care of and ensure their needs are met efficiently while maintaining clean workspace; Cook Staff - cooks orders correctly and efficiently; Back Preparation Kitchen - prepares any pre-portioned product and product rotation; Utility - responsible for dishwashing/sanitation with a focus on the back of house operation; Truck - takes temperatures and checks in orders and puts away; Warehouse/production - produces orders using FIFO methods.

Must be able to work nights, holidays, weekends and days.

Duties & Responsibilities

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Set
    up, stock, and replenish serving lines; serve hot and cold food to
    customers.
  • Prepare
    sandwiches, salads, beverages, and other menu items following standardized
    recipes and allergy protocols.
  • Greet
    customers with a smile, suggest menu items, ensure accurate orders, and
    provide a positive dining experience from start to finish.
  • Operate
    POS systems and assist with dining area cleanup, restocking, and other
    tasks when not serving customers.
  • Maintain
    cleanliness of dining and kitchen areas, including sweeping, mopping,
    vacuuming, and sanitizing tables, chairs, walls, floors, vents, and
    restrooms.
  • Operate
    and clean dishwashing machines and food service equipment; wash, sort, and
    restock dishes, utensils, and cookware.
  • Clean
    and maintain kitchen equipment such as ovens, fryers, steamers, broilers,
    and walk-ins; clean garbage and dock areas daily.
  • Monitor
    food safety by inspecting products for temperature, freshness, and proper
    rotation; uphold sanitation and safety standards.
  • Assist
    with inventory, complete required forms, and support team members with
    restocking and cleaning as needed.
  • Perform
    additional duties as assigned by supervisors.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Knowledge
    of basic food safety protocols and hygiene practices, including
    proper glove use and handwashing.
  • Knowledge
    of cleaning equipment, techniques, and industry standards.
  • Skills
    in operating and maintaining commercial kitchen and cleaning
    equipment.
  • Skills
    in using cleaning products and tools safely and effectively.
  • Skills
    in performing all aspects of food service and sanitation duties.
  • Ability
    to work nights, holidays, weekends, and days.
  • Ability
    to perform basic math for transactions and measurements.
  • Ability
    to communicate effectively with customers and coworkers.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability
    to lift/transport up to 50 lbs.
Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or high school diploma equivalency is required.
  • Must be able to work nights, holidays, weekends and days.
Preferred Qualifications

  • Food Service background.
