Provides field support through assumption of all duties and responsibilities required of a police officer.Responsible for ensuring ongoing training professional development of assigned personnel, maintenance of good order and discipline,administrative tasks, and evaluation of personnel.This position is designated as a Campus Security Authority (CSA) under Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act. A CSA is an individual who, by virtue of their responsibilities,is designated to receive and obligated to report criminal incidents to the institution's Clery Coordinator for publication in the Annual Security Report.This position involves shift work based on the needs of GSU and the Division of Public Safety.Employees may be required to remain on duty beyond a normal shift and must be available to report for duty without prior notice due to on-call status, special events, emergencies, or personnel shortages.
