The CSCP organization is responsible for traditional supply chain functions such as plan, source, make, deliver, but also manages supportability (spares), sustainability, and decommissioning of datacenter assets worldwide. We deliver the core infrastructure and foundational technologies for Microsoft's over 200 online businesses including Bing, MSN, Office 365, Xbox Live, OneDrive and the Microsoft Azure platform for external customers. The Supply Chain Operations Rotation Experience (SCORE) is a three-year career experience designed to provide emerging talent with an unparalleled journey through end-to-end cloud supply chain operations. Over three one-year rotations, participants will partner with and learn from our teams while building skills and supply chain acumen to accelerate their career growth. During this experience, participants can expect: Meaningful roles in supply chain operations, planning and other critical parts of the business A robust support network of leaders, managers, mentors and dedicated SCORE Program Managers Targeted learning and developmental opportunities throughout the three-year journey including Lean Six Sigma belt certifications Networking opportunities, volunteering, and community engagement End-to-end cloud supply chain operations visibility and dedicated time with leadership You will join the team as a Supply Planning Specialist and will help build support plans and designs service experiences for new products, programs, or offerings. You will critically review new support scenarios to identify potential incidents/risks and their mitigation; determine if new plans are necessary to support offerings and opportunities or if plans should be removed. This opportunity will allow you to analyze experience feedback and monitor key performance indicators to improve the customer experience, increase return on investment, and identify new opportunities. ResponsibilitiesYou will execute on forward or reverse supply plans provided. Performs tactical elements of supply plan, including understanding the part level gaps between demand and supply and manage programs with low complexity and/or receives direct guidance as well as assist with low-impact programs and system-driven planning.You will learn planning process for raw materials for the building of products or goods and help facilitate the process of transitioning simple old products to new products while avoiding materials stranded and yield and binning issues. You will use tools and processes for managing supply and driving improvements to avoid additional labor needs, while gaining a foundational understanding of these tools and processes and gain an awareness of process improvements.You will work closely with suppliers on day-to-day operations and assist with the review of staffing, capacity, bills of materials and change orders as well as track metrics related to operational performance of suppliers.You will communicate with teams using foundational understanding of demand and supply as needed with status updates.You will embody our culture and values. |
