The Java Engineering Group in the Developer Division is responsible for building best-in-class support for Java workloads running on Azure (Microsoft's Cloud) and other Microsoft services. We performance tune Java applications and services at massive scale, build insightful performance diagnostic tooling, work on the Java Virtual Machine (VM) itself and act as a liaison between Microsoft and the wider Java ecosystem. Our Java VM Engineering team is looking for a Senior Compiler Engineer who has a passion for learning new technologies, interacting with colleagues and customers, and a strong desire to make the work of Java users and developers more productive, satisfying, and enjoyable. ResponsibilitiesWork in a collaborative, learning team environment that interacts with and gathers feedback from all types of users and developers of Java. Contribute compiler enhancements, features, and bug fixes to customers as part of the Microsoft Build of OpenJDK, and upstream that work to the OSS OpenJDK project. The software you build will be used by millions of developers all over the world, allowing them to achieve more in whatever field they work.
