Responsible for preparing patients for urological procedures; assist in procedures; room and prepare patients for clinic exams; schedule surgical procedures; assist and instruct patients in care and maintenance of urological appliances; and maintain supplies and equipment. As a lead urology technician, be primary point for clinical care and train other urology technicians on staff. Education High School Diploma or Equivalent required Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree? No Licenses and Credentials Experience Urology Experience 2-3 years required and Surgical/Procedural Experience 1-2 years preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities - Able to multitask in a busy practice environment and see work through to completion. - Accuracy and attention to detail. - Strong patient care skills. - Excellent interpersonal skills. - Sound judgment and problem-solving ability. - Ability to work independently and as a team player. - Demonstrated knowledge of HIPPA and infection control.
