Summary of the Job:

The Marketing Automation Sr. Associate is responsible for overseeing Marketing Automation by leveraging a marketing automation platform. You will make strategic and tactical use of the platform across our marketing initiatives and serve as the go-to expert for the platform, guiding its configuration, optimization, and integration into our marketing technology ecosystem. Your deep knowledge of capabilities will be instrumental in helping the team execute personalized, data-driven campaigns at scale, improve customer engagement, and drive measurable business outcomes. Success in this role is measured by:

*In-depth understanding of emerging capabilities, roadmap, industry
*Ability to guide strategy based on platform and knowledge
*Campaign performance support - increased precision in targeting audiences based on AI and data capabilities, improvement in open rates, CTR, conversion rates, and engagement driven by campaigns executed via marketing automation platform

About This Role:

Platform Expertise: Serve as the internal expert on all functionalities of the marketing automation platform including campaign orchestration, audience segmentation, data onboarding, reporting, and integrations.

Translating Technical Concepts: Explain complex platform features (e.g., data models, segmentation logic, AI Agents) in clear, business-friendly language to exemplify why a feature matters rather than just how it works.

Platform Strategy: Assess current marketing challenges and opportunities and recommend how marketing automation-like AI-driven personalization, data segmentation, or automation-can address them.

Data Strategy: Work closely with data engineering and analytics teams to ensure proper ingestion, hygiene, and utilization of first- and third-party data within the platform.

Performance Monitoring: Analyze campaign performance using the platform's reporting tools. Provide actionable insights and recommendations to drive continuous improvement.

Integration & Automation: Collaborate with IT and Partnership stakeholders to integrate marketing automation with CRM systems, customer data platforms (CDPs), and other marketing tools.

Compliance & Governance: Ensure all marketing automation-related activities are compliant with privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and internal data governance policies.

Vendor Liaison: Manage the day-to-day relationship with the platform vendor's account representatives and technical support. Escalate and resolve issues efficiently.

Project Coordination: Ability to deliver projects on-time, coordinate multiple teams, and ensure the platform's strategic value is realized efficiently.

The Ideal Candidate for This Role:

Required:

  • 2-5+ years of hands-on experience with a marketing automation platform, preferably in an enterprise environment.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing practices, data-driven customer engagement, and lifecycle marketing.
  • Familiarity with related tools and platforms (e.g., CDPs, CRMs, DMPs, ESPs).
  • Experience working with structured customer data and managing large-scale campaign execution.
  • Strong analytical mindset and proficiency in marketing analytics tools.
  • Excellent communication, project management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Experience with marketing automation, HTML/CSS for email, and audience segmentation a plus.

Desired:

  • 2+ years of experience with the Zeta Marketing Platform (ZMP)
  • Experience in industries such as retail, eCommerce, financial services, or telecom.
  • Familiarity of Snowflake, or other data manipulation tools.
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies and sprint-based project management.

Candidates must possess unrestricted work authorization and not require future sponsorship.

Compensation:

Compensation range (base pay): $80,061.00-$132,099.00

This role may have a specific starting pay within this range.

Final compensation offer to candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon work experience, education, and/or skill level.

Work Environment:

It is anticipated that the incumbent in this role will work in a hybrid capacity, balancing in-person collaboration three (3) days a week with remote flexibility two (2) days a week. As part of our team, you'll experience the energy and relationship-building of face-to-face collaboration while still enjoying the flexibility of remote workdays. We provide the tools and technology to ensure seamless transitions between work environments, supporting your productivity wherever you are. Please note that work location is subject to change based on business needs.
