The UCF College of Community Innovation and Education (CCIE) brings together academic programs, centers and institutes focused on building stronger communities and elevating the human experience. The Center for Community Schools is a practice-based organization that provides community school technical assistance, university-assisted partnerships, training and development, and assessment and evaluation.

The Opportunity:

The UCF College of Community Innovation and Education (CCIE) is currently accepting applications for a Program Manager I for Certification. This position will work with Center for Community Schools leaders and staff to advance the practice-based application of certification, model fidelity, and continuous improvement, while promoting Community School success. The Program Manager will participate as a member of a team to assess Community Partnership Schools sites for model implementation fidelity and eligibility for certification status. The Program Manager will provide trainings, conduct interviews and focus groups, review documents, and write reports. The Program Manager will work on the continuous evolution of the UCF Community Partnership School Certification process, workshops, and technical assistance/support provided to directors, nonprofits, and site-level partnerships.

Responsibilities:


  • Assist in the development of an annual strategy for certification, including an evolution of standards in both form and function, and the steps necessary to achieve them.

  • Develop and implement a plan to lift the UCF CPS Certification and related tools in order to improve the impact in participating Community Partnership Schools and Community Schools broadly.

  • Drive continuous improvement in all aspects of the CPS.

  • Leverage hands-on experience with practice analysis to ensure the certification process continues to reflect our growing practice and that it meets the placed-based strategy needs of the community, including collaborating with other Assessment & Evaluation personnel, and researching emerging principles.

  • Manage strategic partnership with site staff to advance and utilize the certification process with standards.

  • Lead the day-to-day operations of standards, including answering questions about the certification, and responding to requests for support.

  • Co-lead a certification working group to conduct the certification review and application and lead the efforts to provide and promote the broad-reaching application of the certification to maintain model fidelity (including interviews, document review, and site visits).

  • Participate in an ad hoc certification committee to audit and govern the certification, as needed.

  • Review and manage the growth of Community School certifications.

  • Ensure maintenance of official UCF CPS Certification records and documents to ensure compliance with regulations.

  • Develop and set course for an annual, short-term and long-term project certification plan that will include conducting UCF CPS Certification at specified sites.

  • Maintain ability to work independently, efficiently, and accurately, and follow through on assignments with timeliness and minimal direction; Assist with special initiatives and projects.

  • Other duties as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or Master's degree and 4+ years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219. Click here for more information

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Experience working within an educational institution or a related setting.

  • Experience providing technical assistance, supporting strategic planning efforts, or contributing to program evaluation and development.

  • Demonstrated experience working in a statewide capacity, collaborating with schools, agencies, and community partners.

  • Experience working with grant-funded programs and/or nonprofit organizations.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly and effectively.

  • Strong time management, organizational, and project coordination skills.

  • Proven ability to build and maintain positive, collaborative working relationships with internal teams and external partners.

Special Instructions to the Applicants:

The anticipated salary range for this position is $56,030 - $71,000. The final salary will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications, experience, and internal equity considerations.

This is a Contract and Grant (C&G) funded position. Employment is subject to availability of funding and may cease at the time funding for this employment is depleted.
