Marketing and Communications:

Marketing and Communications serves as the creative and promotional hub for the Division of Student Success and Well-Being at UCF. Day-to-day, they provide in-house services to division departments, including graphic design, web development and email communications. They also manage high-level strategic student communications and special projects.

The Opportunity:

The UCF Student Success and Well-Being Marketing and Communications Division is currently accepting applications for a Multimedia Specialist I. This position will create engaging video and photo content that highlights student achievements and divisional initiatives. This role supports digital storytelling across platforms and involves attending key events, collaborating on content strategies, and contributing to a creative team environment.

Responsibilities:



  • Create, produce, edit, and deliver video and photo content that supports both internal communications and divisional initiatives across web and social media platforms.

  • Attend and capture content at special events, division functions and recurring semester milestones.

  • Collaborate with team members and department representatives to develop content strategies and storyboards for multimedia projects.

  • Attend team meetings, contributing ideas and feedback to enhance content quality and effectiveness.

  • Working within a team, participating in a positive and collaborative work environment.




Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree; or High School Diploma (or equivalent) and 4 years of relevant work experience in lieu of degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219. Click here for more information.

Preferred Qualifications:



  • Minimum of 3 years of experience filming and editing content for social media and short-form video.

  • Strong grasp of visual storytelling, including framing, composition, lighting, and pacing.

  • Proficiency in industry-standard editing tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, Photoshop, and Lightroom.

  • Experience producing content for diverse platforms (web, social media, presentations), with knowledge of aspect ratios and compression best practices.

  • Awareness of current multimedia and digital content trends.

  • Effective project management skills with the ability to meet multiple deadlines and adapt to shifting priorities.

  • Basic understanding of branding and the ability to visually convey an organization's mission and culture.

Special Instructions to the Applicants:

This is a one-year visiting position. Employment is subject to the availability of funding and may cease at the time of funding for this employment is depleted.

The anticipated salary range for this position is $20.29 - $27.14 The final salary will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications, experience, and internal equity considerations.
