Description
Vickers and Nolan Enterprises (VNE) is an engineering company that provides Government projects and programs with experienced and dedicated system architects, engineers, subject matter experts (in tactical intelligence), and program managers. VNE also develops training courses and tools to prepare warfighters to effectively employ tactical intelligence systems and provide management guidance to the Government organizations that develop these systems. Qualifications
VNE, LLC is looking for a TS/SCI Cleared Cloud Engineer Minimum Qualifications: Education:
- Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics
Experience:
- 5+ years of experience deploying and maintaining Azure environment and resources
- Experience in Microsoft Azure services, including virtual machines, storage, networking, and databases
- Experience with infrastructure as code tools, such as Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates or Terraform
- Experience using Linux operating system and Bash scripting
- Knowledge of Azure networking concepts, including virtual networks, subnets, and network security groups
- Ability to work in an Agile, team-based environment using collaboration tools such as Jira and Confluence
- Experience managing hybrid cloud environment
- Azure Engineering or Architecting Certification
- DoD 8570 Compliant Security+ or CISSP Certification prior to starting on contract
- TS/SCI level Clearance required.
Additional Qualifications required:
- Experience developing software with Python, Go, or Java
- Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining software applications
- Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes
- Experience in Azure Active Directory (AAD)
- Experience managing a multi-tenant cloud environment across multiple DOD networks
- Experience automating Azure processes using PowerShell or Azure CLI
- Experience with software or systems architecture
- Experience interfacing with Cloud Security Service Provider (CSSP)
Job Description: Manages, administers, supports and enhances cloud environments, ensuring continuous improvement and rapid problem resolution. Applies specific functional knowledge, working or general industry knowledge. Develops or contributes to solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity. Works independently with some guidance, may review or guide activities of more junior employees. Essential Duties of the Job:
- Ability to communicate task requirement information to client in a clear and concise manner.
- Must be able to sit and stand for prolonged periods of time, as well as lead and participate in meetings and working groups.
- Requires visual acuity to use a keyboard.
- Must be able to attend work each day, during scheduled hours, unless on travel or approved time off.
- Ability to work on computer for long periods, and communicate with individuals by telephone, email and face-to-face
