Job Description

Kearney & Company is seeking a skilled and vigilant Cybersecurity Analyst to join our dynamic team. The primary objective of this role is to protect Kearney's information systems by preventing data loss through identifying potential threats, implementing security measures, and responding to incidents. This role is crucial in maintaining the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our data while ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Monitor and analyze network traffic for suspicious activities using various security tools and techniques.
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments to identify potential security weaknesses.
  • Develop and implement security policies, protocols, and procedures to protect sensitive information.
  • Investigate and respond to security breaches, incidents, and anomalies in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with IT and other departments to ensure comprehensive security measures are in place.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and technologies.
  • Educate, train, and provide guidance to staff on best security practices and awareness.
  • Prepare reports and briefs on security incidents, outcomes, and recommendations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years experience in cybersecurity or a related role.
  • Ability to work in a hybrid environment
  • Proficiency working in Microsoft environment
  • Experience with cybersecurity tools such as Microsoft Defender, Data Loss Prevention, SIEM, vulnerability scanners, and forensic tools.
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CEH, CISM, or CompTIA Security+ or other cybersecurity certification
  • Fundamental knowledge of OSINT reconnaissance.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Commitment to ethical and responsible conduct.

The expected salary range for this position is between $75,000 and $100,000. This range is representative of base pay only and does not include straight time pay for hours worked over 40 per week, company contributions towards paid benefits, and/or bonuses. Actual compensation (meeting or exceeding the range) will be determined based on specific experience, education, work location, clearance level, and other factors permitted by law. This position is eligible for bonuses (when applicable).
