Job Summary The Technical Systems Engineer supports theatre operations in delivering a premium Sight & Sound experience by providing technical support, quality assurance, and oversight of all systems and services related to presentations. This role ensures that Sight & Sound systems are maintained, procedures are followed, and equipment is in good repair, ensuring a consistent and exceptional guest experience while providing theatre operations with excellent customer service. This position is based in the Dallas market and is not eligible for relocation. What you will be doing:
- Provide customer service focused technical and operational support to theatre management for all aspects of the Sight & Sound experience.
- Provide feedback and advice to theatre management concerning the overall state of Sight & Sound presentations and operational processes.
- Execute assigned capital projects within scope and budget.
- Complete administrative tasks and responsibilities accurately and on time.
- Partner with the Theatre Operations Center (TOC) to document and maintain field and remote knowledge and processes.
- Educate and mentor field resources on best practices for Sight & Sound systems.
- Maintain effective communication with General Managers, managers, and booth associates to support operational excellence
What we need from you:
- 2+ years' experience operating and/or supporting digital cinema systems.
- Available to travel within the market daily and outside the market up to 25%, often on short notice and outside standard business hours/days.
- Proven ability to independently troubleshoot and resolve projection and audio equipment failures.
- Proven ability to maintain established routine equipment maintenance schedules.
- Ability to effectively manage vendor relationships and services.
- Comprehension of electrical, projection, and sound principles and theories, along with advanced working knowledge of associated supporting infrastructures.
What we also value (preferred):
- Completion of certificate programs for computer hardware and software training.
- Completion of certificate program training to fulfill digital projection warranty requirements.
- Knowledge of technical standards, practices, and presentation requirements in the motion picture and digital cinema industries.
- Expertise in key digital cinema components, including projection, audio, and media servers, from operational and troubleshooting perspectives.
- Intermediate knowledge of computer hardware, network configurations, Windows operating systems, and productivity software.
- Proficiency in operating diagnostic equipment such as RMS industrial multi-meters, real-time audio analyzers, luminance meters, and proprietary software.

Compensation AMC provides a compensation range for open positions where required. Factors that may be used to determine actual compensation may include, but are not limited to, a specific skill set, relevant experience or geographic location. The compensation range for this position may be lower or higher in different markets based on business needs.
