What You Can Expect

As the Project Coordinator I, based at our University of Iowa location, you have a key role in supporting Program Managers throughout the full lifecycle of central utility plant distribution projects-from initial design and procurement to construction, financial oversight, commissioning, and startup operations. You'll help ensure smooth project execution by coordinating reporting requirements, maintaining documentation accuracy, facilitating communication across all stakeholders, and contributing to feasibility studies and technical assessments that inform business justification documents.

What You Will Do:



  • Coordinate and schedule design, pre-construction, and construction meetings across the Capital Projects program, including managing meeting minutes and tracking weekly action item completion
  • Maintain and update process and reporting templates for all project phases, and assist Program Managers with project close-out documentation
  • Communicate with stakeholders at all levels-from field teams to executives
  • Research feasibility studies, technical documentation, and condition assessments
  • Draft business justification reports for review by the project manager



What You'll Bring



  • A Bachelor's degree: alternatively, High School diploma/GED with two (2) years of construction management and demonstrated ability of presenting to diverse stakeholder groups
  • Interest in earning (or possession of) a PMP certification
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Procore, and other project management tools to gather, organize, and communicate project data effectively
  • Solid organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities across complex projects
  • Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills to support stakeholder engagement and documentation
  • An initiative-taking mindset and collaborative approach to problem-solving in a dynamic project environment



Additional Details



  • This role is eligible for our hybrid in-office work policy
  • Must be available to travel domestically and with the need for some overnight trips
  • Must possess a valid U.S. driver's license/clean driving record; for the use of company vehicle, ability to drive to site locations
  • Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies
  • This position consists of 10% of outdoor work, while performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to weather conditions



Compensation

Hourly Range: $26.58 - $40.74 USD hourly.

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.

ENGIE complies with all federal, state, and local minimum wage laws. Actual salary offered may vary depending on geography, experience, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors.

In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for a competitive bonus / incentive plan.
