Salary $120K - $150K Plus Bonus

TITLE: Regional Sales Manager



POSITION OBJECTIVE: Responsible for the management and marketing activities for a sales region of multiple states for a select customer base to achieve required growth and meet sales objectives. Responsibilities include selling Can Liners, PVC Food Film, Disposable Gloves, Paper Bags, Carry Out Bags, Food Storage Bags and other associated items to customers, managing manufacturer representative and direct sales representatives, execution of our strategic plan, and annual planning and budgeting.



QUALIFICATIONS:



  • At least 5 years of experience in distribution sales, ideally with customers in foodservice and/or lodging industry. Proven track record of positive customer relationships and sales growth.
  • BS/BA degree in marketing, communications, business or related field
  • Preferred prior experience within the plastics and/or paper industry
  • Strong communication skills and ability to speak in front of groups of various sizes; bi-lingual preferred
  • Able to use critical thinking skills to identify strengths and weakness of alternative approaches, solutions, and problem solve
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point
  • Ability to work independently, self-motivated, and good time-management
  • Ability to travel by plane / drive with a valid driver's license
  • Collaboration/team player
  • Ensure consistent, dependable attendance and demonstrate a willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours as necessary.
  • Capable of effectively managing job-related stress and fostering productive workplace interactions.



JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Educates, trains, and works with distributor sales representatives on Inteplast/Trinity/Pitt Plastics product lines and policies.
  • Demonstrates master knowledge of products lines, policies, systems, and competitive environment.
  • Calls on end user accounts and provides timely response to distributor requests.
  • Prepares and analyzes reports for sales management regarding distributor and direct buying customers in the assigned territory or market segment.
  • Sets up requests for competitive price, public bids and special price quotes.
  • Develops, maintains and services Inteplast's relationships with customer base.
  • Serves as a liaison between Inteplast and the distributor.
  • Manages manufacturer rep groups within assigned territory, including selection, training, scheduling, appraising job performance, and compensation.
  • Manages activities of select key accounts within assigned territory including but not limited to existing account maintenance, new client generation, strategic planning and marketing.
  • Assists in the development of regional plan
  • Assists with identification of prospective customers through effective industry networking, participation in organizations and clubs, and attending national trade shows and conferences.
  • Contact regular and prospective customers to demonstrate products, explain product features, and solicit orders.
  • Identify new opportunities based on industry trends and customers' needs and interests
  • Create selling and product strategy based on analyses of customers' needs, and on technical knowledge of product capabilities and limitations
  • Consult with clients after sales or contract signings to resolve problems and to provide ongoing support
  • Monitor market conditions, product innovations, and competitors' products, prices, and sales
  • Attend regional and national trade shows
  • Manage national buying group relationships and programs
  • Handle special projects assigned by the business unit



WORK ENVIRONMENT CONDITIONS SUBJECTED TO IN THIS POSITION:



  • This position involves 50 to 60% travel, with a willingness to travel throughout the United States attending meetings with customers/prospects and sales functions such as trade shows, etc.
