Your Opportunity:Taylor Corporation is seeking a Director of Operations who is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the organization, ensuring efficiency, quality, and alignment with strategic objectives in our Fridley, MN location. This role involves developing and implementing operational strategies that enhance productivity and drive business growth. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operations management, exceptional leadership skills, and a commitment to continuous improvement. Your Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage all operational activities, setting and meeting all service levels including on-time delivery of 99% and quality standards.
- Manage through production tools the chargeability performance by equipment type.
- Monitor equipment performance rates, proactively suggest capital investments.
- Monitor inventory management from order delivery to consumption.
- Develop and implement operational strategies that align with the company's vision and drive organizational growth.
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance related to operations, ensuring cost control and resource optimization.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, supply chain, and customer service, to improve operational processes and enhance customer satisfaction.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics, analyzing data to identify trends and areas for improvement. Operational area need to display visibility boards.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives through Lean, Six Sigma, and other best practices to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
- Foster a culture of safety, quality, and compliance, ensuring that all operations meet regulatory standards and best practices.
- Manage and mentor operational staff, promoting professional development and a collaborative work environment.
- Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including vendors, partners, and customers, to ensure operational alignment and support business objectives.
- Prepare and present operational reports and updates to senior management and the executive team.
You Must Have:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, operations management, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in manufacturing operations, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of best operational practices, process improvement methodologies, and performance management.
- Proven track record of successfully managing complex operations and achieving performance goals.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop high-performing teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to work in various operational environments and travel as needed.
The anticipated annual salary range for this position is $155k - $175k. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
