Job Description
Position: Maintenance Technician III, 1st Shift (Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM)
Job Purpose:
The purpose of this role is to ensure the optimal performance and reliability of production machinery and equipment by performing advanced preventative maintenance, installations, and calibrations. Additionally, the role involves troubleshooting, supporting production processes, training junior technicians, and continuously improving maintenance programs to minimize downtime and enhance overall plant efficiency.

- Preform advanced preventative maintenance on a wide range of machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime
- Install and upgrade machinery and equipment, including integration of new technology and automation systems
- Calibrate and adjust machinery and equipment to ensure precision and accuracy in production
- Provide training and guidance to junior maintenance technicians and assist in developing their skills
- Sustain and improve our preventative maintenance programs and maintenance techniques on all machinery and equipment
- Responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing of production floor machinery and equipment throughout the plant
- Production support with changeover, product set-up and start-up
- Responsible for performing scheduled and unscheduled preventative maintenance tasks using company preferred systems
- Interact with production supervision and staff to ensure the timely flow of required information
- Documentation of equipment maintenance performed
- Housekeeping and organization of the work area (5s) as needed
- Attendance is mandatory to ensure effective team collaboration and productivity.

Experience/Education/Skills
Qualifications:
- 5-7 years of previous maintenance experience required, with at least 3 years in a manufacturing environment
- Previous experience or exposure with controls, electrical (NGPA70e), mechanical, and/or tooling maintenance required
- Previous experience with PLCs required
- Previous experience with vision systems (like quality inspection, robotics, or automation) required
- Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals required
- Willingness to complete company-provided controls, electrical, mechanical, and/or tooling training
- A High School diploma or GED
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and SAP preferred
Working Conditions:
Indoor production environment, adequate lighting and comfortable temperatures, some work outside may be required, Occasional exposure to moderate noise and machinery with mechanical moving parts. Ability to work 24/7 schedule and be available as business situations required, overtime dependent on business need.
Physical Requirements:
- Frequent repetitive hand movements, using hand tools - pliers, sanders, scissors, etc
- Frequently remain in a stationary position up to 75% of the time
- Frequently move about the facility indoors as well as outdoors to make repairs, etc...
- Constantly positions self to repair/build equipment and/or facility
- Frequently ascends/descends a ladder to service equipment and/or complete a building repair
- Must be able to detect equipment issues and assess for repairs
- Regularly move tools and equipment up to >25 lbs.
