This senior leader advances the CMO's vision by driving cross-functional transformation and strategic presentations. In partnership with HR and marketing leadership, the role shapes talent strategy, builds capabilities, and fosters a culture of innovation and performance to deliver impactful, market-ready campaigns.

Strategic Planning

  • Develop and implement multi-year strategic plans aligned with organizational goals
  • Conduct market, industry, and internal performance analyses to identify opportunities and risks
  • Facilitate strategic planning workshops and cross-functional collaboration
  • Present strategic recommendations to executive leadership and board members

CMO Vision

  • Able to build-out strategic presentations that articulate the CMO's objectives for key events
  • Drive cross-functional initiatives with key KPIs to measure success

Culture & Engagement

  • Champion employee engagement and experience within the marketing function
  • Lead initiatives that promote collaboration, innovation, and psychological safety
  • Facilitate forums, town halls, and feedback loops to amplify employee voice

Workforce Strategy & Planning

  • Develop and execute long-term workforce strategies for the marketing organization
  • Analyze talent gaps and future skill needs based on business and industry trends
  • Partner with HR and marketing leaders to define job architectures, career paths, and succession plans

Capability Enablement

  • Design and lead marketing capability programs (e.g., digital fluency, brand storytelling, analytics)
  • Implement learning journeys, certifications, and workshops tailored to marketing roles
  • Collaborate with external partners and vendors to bring in cutting-edge training solutions

Performance & Talent Development

  • Establish KPIs to measure skill adoption, engagement, and enablement impact
  • Drive performance enablement through coaching, mentoring, and feedback frameworks
  • Support onboarding and upskilling initiatives for new and existing marketing talent

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with HR, L&D and marketing operations to align enablement efforts
  • Partner with marketing leaders to embed enablement into campaign planning and execution
  • Ensure consistent messaging and adoption of marketing best practices across teams

Estimated Hiring Range:

At Vizient, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances. The current salary range for this role is $156,500.00 to $290,100.00.

This position is also incentive eligible.
