Senior Consumer Insights Analyst

Job Summary

This position represents the 'voice of the consumer' and works closely with a variety of business partners (merchandising, marketing, design, DTC) to use research and consumer insight to inform decisions and drive innovation.

We're looking for someone who is passionate about the consumer. Who will develop research plans, utilize best-in-class methodologies, and analyze and translate data from a variety of sources into insights to help strengthen marketing communications and influence new products.

Ideal Candidate

  • Ability to synthesize data from all available sources to help address business issues
  • Ability to write and program surveys, and analyze and develop findings reports from DIY survey platforms such as Typeform, Qualtrics
  • Project management capabilities, motivated self-starter with ability to prioritize
  • Demonstrated ability to proactively influence decisions through insight
  • Capable presenter, comfortable in front of senior leadership
  • Comfortable 'flexing' based on shifting business priorities
  • Strategic thinking capability - can see the big picture and translate to actionable recommendations
  • Working familiarity with syndicated data sources, preferably MRI-Simmons, Circana, as well as Social Media Monitoring Tools

Responsibilities

  • Analyzes data sets and survey results and develops reports for distribution to the Kontoor organization, specifically related to consumer, market, category and brand trends
  • Works in partnership with the Consumer Insights Team and research agencies to execute a broad range of research studies, and helps translate results into clear, compelling insights that will lead to tangible recommendations.
  • Develops actionable marketing recommendations and next steps based on results of research projects.
  • Champions for the consumer, based on objective consumer insights, during appropriate stages in the product and marketing development process.
  • Develops and maintains good working relationships with cross-functional business partners and supports the consumer insights department

Experience

  • 5+ years of work experience in a role involving data analysis, survey writing and programming, and report writing
  • Experience partnering across multiple business functions including merchandising, sales, product development, innovation, DTC, and/or marketing

Education

  • Bachelor's or Graduate degree in Business, Marketing, Marketing Research, Consumer Behavior, Psychology, or similar/related field

Skills

  • Working knowledge of MRI-Simmons, Social Media Monitoring Tools, Brand Health Tracking Research, and Insights Communities
  • Ability to write and program surveys, and work with large, complex data sets
  • Solid written and oral communication skills
  • Demonstrate strong organizational skills to manage multiple consumer insights projects independently
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel
