Position Summary:

This position is primarily responsible for providing support, leadership and coaching to teams. This position is responsible for meeting production, quality, and company objectives. Communicates with project team leaders to ensure task completion by deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Make optimum utilization of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma tools to assist in preparing the feasibility studies and ensure that the costs incurred are justified.
  • Review production schedules, engineering specifications, process flows, and other information to understand methods and activities in manufacturing and services.
  • Evaluate various improvements that need to be done and create value analysis and to look out for ways to reduce the costs in the engineering and manufacturing applications.
  • Confer with the senior management team and other related personnel to create designs and to clarify and resolve any relevant issues.
  • Give directions to help in preparing the layouts and detailed drawings that will eventually assist in improving the manufacturing processes.
  • Develop and lead methods that would help in reducing the cost without compromising on the quality standards to ensure increased efficiency and quality and make recommendations.
  • Achieve cost effective designs and to carry out research, design, and development work of the manufacturing process that would include assembly methods, production flow and production equipment.
  • Provide leadership to the team on all shifts, supports other departments and interrelates well with all areas of the company.
  • Effectively resolve all problems that arise or seek assistance in a timely manner.
  • Understand company policies and procedures and ensures the team follows them.
  • Develop a complete knowledge of management software as it pertains to the shop.
  • Demonstrates responsibility for Company efficiency, quality, pre-production planning, process control, corrective actions, cleanliness, and safety, and continually strives for process improvements.
  • Continually mentor co-workers to encourage individual growth within company.
  • Handle employee safety and building issue needs in a timely manner.
  • Handle employee discipline in a professional manner as per company guidelines.

  • Work with Manufacturing Coordinator to ensure that daily, weekly, and monthly priorities are achieved.



Must Have:



  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • A minimum 5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Team membership and leader training
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to provide solutions to problems
  • Able to develop communication and leadership skills for self-improvement as well as team improvements
  • Must have exceptional communication skills and work well with others across all disciplines



Good to have:



  • Mechanical medical machining background preferred



Salary Range: 75000 to 95000
