LEAD BUSINESS SYSTEMS SOLUTIONS ANALYST - PUB SEC

The Lead Business Solutions Analyst will serve as the strategic bridge between the business and technical teams within Lumen's Public Sector organization-with a focus on Business Intelligence and AI platform development and solution architecture. This role translates business objectives into scalable data products, semantic models, and AIpowered capabilities, while owning targetstate architecture, integration patterns, security, and nonfunctional requirements. The ideal candidate blends product thinking and process acumen with handson Business Intelligence and architecture leadership.

• Design complete solutionsfor business intelligence and artificial intelligence platforms, including how systems will work together and the steps to get there.
• Create clear design documentslike system diagrams, process flows, data models, and decision logs that explain why choices were made.
• Define and manage shared data standardsso reports and dashboards use consistent metrics and secure access controls.
• Connect core systems(Salesforce, SAP, and others) so data flows smoothly using APIs and automated pipelines.
• Build artificial intelligence-powered toolssuch as assistants for proposals, summaries, and planning, while ensuring they are safe and accurate.
• Set up processes for managing AI models and data pipelines, including testing, version control, and monitoring for quality.
• Plan for performance and security, making sure solutions are fast, reliable, and compliant with public sector requirements.
• Support sales teams on proposalsby providing technical input, cost estimates, and solution overviews; lead demos and proof-of-concepts.
• Develop dashboards and reportsthat give leaders clear insights and track adoption of business intelligence and artificial intelligence tools.
• Ensure compliance and securityfor all solutions, following public sector standards and preparing documentation for audits or approvals.

• Experience with event-driven patterns and microservices, near real-time analytics, and solid API design practices.
• Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and passionate about data integrity, security, and measurable business outcomes.

• A Bachelorsdegree in business, Information Systems, Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field.
• At least7 years of experiencein business analysis, solution consulting, or business intelligence, including3+ years designing and delivering data or artificial intelligence solutions.
• Strong skills inSQLand hands-on experience withPower BI(building data models, creating dashboards, and setting up security).
• Knowledge ofAzure-based platformsfor data and artificial intelligence, such as Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, Azure AI Search, Azure OpenAI, and Azure Machine Learning.
• Experience connecting systems likeSalesforce and SAPso data flows smoothly between them.
• Familiarity with managingAI models and data pipelines, including testing, version control, and monitoring.
• Understanding ofpublic sector security and compliance requirements(such as FedRAMP and NIST standards).
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain complex solutions in a way that business leaders can understand.
