The College of Arts & Science (A&S) at the University of Missouri is looking for a Human Resources Specialist II to join our team. What You'll Do:

  • Manage and process employee recruitment actions from posting to hire.
  • Support payroll operations by monitoring time reporting, leave, and compliance across departments.
  • Serve as a key liaison for international faculty and staff visa processing.
  • Support HR policy implementation and project deliverables.
  • Provide excellent service, guidance, and support to faculty, staff, supervisors, and the public.
  • Use office technologies (PeopleSoft, Microsoft 365, Outlook, Teams, etc) to deliver accurate and timely results.
  • Contribute to training, process improvements, and special projects that enhance HR operations and support the mission of the College of Arts & Science.

Shift

Monday to Friday, 8 hours per day. Typically, 8 am to 5 pm.

Minimum Qualifications

An associate's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 1 year of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Three or more years of HR experience (recruitment, payroll, or visa processing).
  • Strong knowledge of employment policies, visa sponsorship processes, and HR best practices.
  • Outstanding attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
Anticipated Hiring Range

Salary Range: $20 - $25/hour
Grade: GGS-008

Other Information

This position is located on the campus of the University of Missouri-Columbia. Candidates must live in the state of Missouri or be willing to relocate prior to the hire date. Candidates must be available for reliable and consistent onsite work.
