Position Summary
The primary purposes of this position are to serve as the primary LCCC contact and to provide management/oversight of the funds of 26 recharge cores. The position plans, integrates and directs broad and complex functions such as financial and personnel management, across various types of recharge and trust accounting.

Each of the recharge cores operates under separate set of core principles depending on the type of service/product line. As a result, this position must stay well versed on the dynamic nature of their operations. The position also operates with independence in working with OSR, responding to questions/issues. The position must evaluate the financial activities of each core, identifying issues with spending, accounting of expenses and oversight of the fiscal performance of each core. This includes serving as contact person for questions/problems from management as well as core personnel. Reconciliation of monthly statements from accounting and generating reports for administrative and facility managers. As the financial lead for LCCC's facility core accounts, the position will provide a monthly review of reconciliation reports to verify appropriateness of all expenditures ensuring compliance with UNC policies. The position operates independently in the resolution of any identified issues.

Monitor Core funds of moderate variety and complexity to maintain accounting controls by advocating policy and procedures appropriate to the processing. Prepare various financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information for each of the 26 cores. Provide analysis and project revenue and expenditure trends to facilitate financial planning with directors and business managers. The position must be able to independently inform the financial operations of each core to provide guidance to recognize long term projections and financial goals for Core Director's, Associate Director of Finance and other LCCC management.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
High school diploma or equivalency and one year of experience in accounting work; or equivalent combination of training and experience.

Excellent interpersonal communication skills. Demonstrated ability to write precisely and clearly. Proven analytical and reasoning abilities, experience in evaluating complex requirements and regulations. Thorough knowledge of and skill in applying generally accepted accounting principles. Directly related experience with computerized financial reporting and analysis systems.
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
A general knowledge of University business policies and procedures. Prefer well organized individual who is flexible and has an ability to multi-task and prioritize under pressure. Ability to effectively manage deadlines. Attention to detail, good judgment, and ability to communicate on many levels.
