Job Title: Mechanical Claims Specialist
Location: Remote (with initial onsite training in Deerfield Beach, FL) Start Date: August 18th Employment Type: Full-Time Description: Are you an experienced automotive mechanic ready to transition from the shop floor to a more comfortable, office-based role? We're seeking Mechanical Claims Specialists to join a growing customer contact team at a well-established company known for its strong culture, competitive benefits, and career growth opportunities. In this role, you'll use your mechanical expertise to evaluate and process vehicle repair claims, working directly with dealerships and vehicle owners. This is a great opportunity to apply your hands-on knowledge in a new way-without the physical demands of the shop. Key Responsibilities: * Evaluate, investigate, and process mechanical claims using your in-depth knowledge of vehicle systems and repair procedures. * Communicate with dealerships, repair facilities, and vehicle owners via phone and email to resolve claim-related inquiries. * Explain claim decisions clearly and professionally, ensuring a positive customer experience. * Guide customers through the claims process, including next steps for repair quotes and approvals. * Maintain accurate electronic records using internal claims systems and Microsoft Office tools. * Collaborate with team members to uphold the company's reputation for fairness, integrity, and service excellence. Types of Calls You'll Handle: * Dealerships requesting claim approval for vehicle repairs. * Vehicle owners seeking clarification on claim approvals or denials. * Customers needing guidance on how to initiate a claim or get a repair quote. Qualifications: * 3+ years of hands-on experience as an automotive mechanic or in a related mechanical field. * Strong understanding of vehicle repair processes and ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences. * Excellent verbal communication and customer service skills. * Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to navigate multiple software systems. * High school diploma or GED required. * ASE certification is a plus. * Bilingual (Spanish/English) candidates preferred. Additional Requirements: * Must be available for a 2-week onsite onboarding training in either Deerfield Beach, FL or St. Louis, MO. * Occasional Saturday availability required. * Must have a high-speed internet connection and a quiet home workspace for remote work. Preferred Experience (Not Required): * Familiarity with labor guides such as AllData or Mitchell. * Experience using scan tools for diagnostics. Interview Topics May Include: * Your automotive/mechanical experience and specific parts you've worked on. * Experience with diagnostic tools and labor guides. * Customer service scenarios, including handling difficult customers. * Most challenging repair or project you've completed. #priorityeast *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
