Job Summary As an Hourly Sous Chef with Wolfgang Puck Catering, you will play a hands-on role in the preparation and execution of banquets, catering events, and large-scale productions. This role is perfect for a culinarian withsolid traditional cooking skills, exposure topastry and dessert preparation, and the ability to work in afast-paced, event-driven environment. You'll support the Executive Chef and Sous Chefs in creating dishes that reflect Wolfgang Puck's world-class standards while gaining valuable leadership and production experience. Key Responsibilities: Assist with the preparation, cooking, and plating of menu items forbanquets, catering events, and daily production. Execute recipes usingtraditional culinary methodswhile also contributing to pastry and dessert production when needed. Support banquet service by helping with buffets, plated dinners, and event-specific menus. Maintain prep lists, follow production schedules, and meet event timelines. Ensure food quality, taste, and presentation meet Wolfgang Puck Catering standards. Uphold kitchen sanitation, food safety, and organizational practices. Work collaboratively with culinary teammates to ensure smooth execution of high-volume events. Assist with inventory, receiving, and storage of products. Preferred Qualifications: Formal culinary or pastry training is a plus, but equivalent hands-on experience will be considered. 2-3 years of culinary experience, preferably inbanquets, catering, or large-production kitchens. Knowledge of bothsavory cooking techniquesandbasic pastry skills(desserts, baked goods, banquet pastries). Ability to thrive in afast-paced, high-volume environment.
