Highlights:



  • The Biometric Collections Capability (BC2) program is a program with a long history of supporting the Department of Defense's (DOD) Force Protections and Counterterrorism missions around the world. I3 has been providing technical solutions to the using biometrics and other innovative technology to the DOD and other national agencies for over 25 years.
  • Our team is a globally dispersed group of technical experts supported by a program management office providing the necessary coordination of logistics, operations, and financial capabilities necessary for the function of a worldwide mission.
  • The BC2 Program Financial Analyst will interact with corporate functions such as accounting, travel, and contracts. Program analysis and reporting for the Program Manager, engineers, logisticians, and biometrics experts performing a large-scale technical refresh of biometric collection capabilities deployed worldwide.
  • The analyst will prepare monthly cost reports required for the contract including forecasting of all cost elements such as labor, ODC, materials and travel. This person will be responsible for analyzing and projecting funding needs and early identification of variances.
  • This is an opportunity to gain insight and experience in all aspects and factors involved in managing a worldwide program focused on developing and delivering highly technical equipment for operational use by DOD and other agencies. The Program Financial Analyst will also be interacting with the I3 President/CFO, as well as Vice Presidents and senior staff in charge of Contracts and Procurements, Controlling and Accounting, Payroll, and other Program Management Office personnel. This individual will be mentored by the President/CFO.
  • Our team works on a hybrid schedule with three days in the office. Team members have brief daily coordination meetings but are able to interact throughout the day with other team members and I3 staff to gain the information necessary to complete their tasks and to proactively recommend changes to mitigate risk and ensure program performance to the highest level of customer satisfaction.



Typical Day:

Tasks:



  • Using an approved cost control system (Costpoint), monitoring and controlling costs related to an Integrated Master Schedule and nested schedules within Microsoft MS Project.
  • Performing analyses and preparing reports to ensure that contracts are within negotiated and agreed-upon parameters.
  • Preparing budgets and schedules for contract work and performing and/or assisting in financial analyses such as funding profiles, sales outlook, and variance analysis.
  • Monitoring funding availability by maintaining accurate records of expenditures and preparation of expenditure projections.
  • Incorporating contractual changes into the budgets and projecting new costs.
  • Coordinate inputs and prepare financial internal and external per the Contract Deliverable Requirements List (CDRL)
  • Performing miscellaneous financial analysis including monthly financial reporting/forecasting and EACs.
  • Continually assessing and improving financial reporting processes to enhance efficiencies.



Required Qualifications:



  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance and 2+ years of relevant professional work experience.
  • Experience in financial reporting on federal contracts, or project accounting.
  • High Proficiency in use of MS Office, specifically MS Excel.
  • Skills in the use of Business Intelligence tools is desirable.
  • Ability to develop complex excel models for efficient report preparation.
  • Ability to effectively manage competing priorities and deadlines.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.
  • Preferred: Experience with Deltek accounting systems or other large ERP's.



Desired Qualifications:



  • Prior positions with a US Govt. contractor.
  • Department of Defense (DoD) experience.
  • Cognos reporting familiarity would be a plus.
  • Scheduler skills is desirable, but not required.



Position Type Shift Information:



  • Generally, 9:00am-5:00pm, but hybrid schedule (3 days in office, 2 days remote) allows flexibility.



US Citizenship & Clearance: Must be eligible to obtain an Interim Secret; US citizenship required.
