University, Hardware Engineer Intern

Key Role:

Research, design, develop, test, or supervise the manufacturing and installation of electrical equipment, components, or systems for commercial, industrial, military, or scientific use. Employ knowledge of electrical theory and materials properties. Apply specific functional knowledge and working or general industry knowledge. Develop or contribute to solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity. Work independently with some guidance and review or guide activities of junior employees, as needed.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Experience with system engineering processes, management, and principles in an academic or internship environment
  • Experience with working in a team environment
  • Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
  • Ability to review and perform engineering calculations
  • Scheduled to obtain a Bachelor's degree in an Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Systems Engineering field by Spring 2027 or Summer 2027

Additional Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of systems development life cycle methodologies and associated activities
  • Knowledge of using requirements gathering and tracking to support IT system development
  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Possession of excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills

Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $52,900.00 to $108,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
