Job Description

We are currently looking for an Enterprise Data & Analytics Governance Director to join our Finance, Strategy & Transformation team at Brightspeed. You will be responsible for driving Data & Analytics Transformation initiatives through the design, optimization and implementation of cross-functional data strategies, governance and analytics.

As Enterprise Data & Analytics Governance Director, your duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Lead the Enterprise Data Governance function in a hands-on manner, defining and implementing data governance frameworks, establishing data ownership & stewardship, implementing quality management models, and creating/governing our data catalog, common data definitions and KPIs for consistent reporting
  • Accelerate value creation by establishing and owning an end-to-end structured program to "audit, improve, control and drive continuous improvements" across key data management and analytic processes for maximum efficiency and effectiveness
  • Develop an enterprise analytics strategy including standardized reporting and self-service analytics, partnering with analytic teams to improve data accessibility and usability, and evaluating new tools to drive real-time insights for data-driven decisions
  • Responsible for ensuring team and stakeholder accountability for Data & Analytics excellence, forming and leading enterprise data councils to align on cross-functional priorities, driving adoption and change management for all data initiatives, and building/promoting data-driven decisioning programs across the business
  • Conduct comprehensive program review across all data transformation initiatives, inclusive of risk/mitigation assessment and proactive ways to continuously improve customer and shareholder value in a prioritized and targeted manner
  • Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations summarizing the status of data transformation initiatives, including key milestones, achievements and challenges
  • Present findings to senior leadership and stakeholders, actionable insights, and recommendations for improvement
Qualifications

  • Required experience
    • 15+ years of experience in Data & Analytics transformation
    • 15+ years of relevant experience and career progression
  • Track record of academic rigor and professional certification
    • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, Computer Science or related field from a top-tier university
    • Data Management, Data Science or AI certifications
    • Agile/Scrum certifications
  • Transformation & Process Improvement
    • Expertise in Agile methodology for product and software development
    • Experience with leveraging Data Science and AI to drive business optimization
  • Structured problem solving & analytical skills
    • Ability to navigate ambiguous problem contexts and identify relevant issues / resolutions
    • Excellent quantitative skills and data-driven decision-making capabilities
  • Strong executive communication / presence
    • Ability to clearly articulate insights (verbal and written)
  • Stakeholder Management
    • Proven experience in complex programmatic change leadership, with the ability to run multiple transformational programs simultaneously and deliver high-quality results and business value
  • Unwavering focus on results while creating strong relationships
    • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously
