STGi is currently seeking a Floor Technician to provide services at the Texas State Veterans Home.



The William R. Courtney Texas State Veterans Home is located in Temple, TX. Our staff provides compassionate and specialized care to our nation's veterans. We focus on providing the best experience for residents and their families.



JOB SUMMARY:


Maintain or restore floors in highly trafficked areas.



ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:



  • Clean, maintain, and/or restore floor surfaces.
  • Sanitize highly-trafficked spaces which may contain biohazardous waste.
  • Even the gloss, polish, or sealant coating on surfaces with a cloth or specialized buffing tool.
  • Utilize industrial or commercial grade cleaning products or equipment.
  • Works in all areas of the facility.
  • Moves intermittently during working hours.
  • Is subject to hostile and emotionally upset residents, family members, personnel and visitors.
  • Communicates with maintenance personnel and other facility personnel.
  • Works beyond normal working hours and on weekends and holiday when necessary as well as in other positions as needed.
  • May be subject to the handling of and exposure to hazardous chemicals.



Required Experience

  • On the job training will be provided.
  • Effective English communication skills
  • Professional demeanor with resident community

  • 1 year experience

  • Must be legally eligible to work in the United States.



REQUIRED EDUCATION:


  • Must possess, as a minimum, a high school diploma or its equivalent
