Our Business Unit Lighting and Imaging offers challenging lighting and image transmission solutions for applications in the markets of automotive, aviation, medical devices, as well as industrial and safety engineering. With production units in Europe, North-America and the worldwide SCHOTT sales organization Lighting and Imaging is a leading supplier for fiber optic components.

Your Contribution
  • Prepares and maintains process documentation, bills of material, and labor standards for accurate product costs.
  • Develops product costs for customer quotations.
  • Provides input and assistance in the areas of layout, methods, workflow and fixturing to manufacturing engineers or supervisors working in capital equipment projects, new product introductions, and process/product improvements.
  • Supports the tooling design needs of operations by producing clear, accurate layouts, sketches, and assembly drawings for tooling, plant equipment & facilities.
  • Develops work measurement data, conducts motion-time studies, and reviews and recommends material handling procedures for establishment of manufacturing standards.
  • Performs operation analysis on new and existing methods and processes for the purpose of process improvements.
  • Assists manufacturing supervision in the review of manufacturing performance against standard with the intent to develop and implement plans for improvement.
  • Assists in manpower and capacity planning to meet marketing forecasts.
Your Profile
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • B.S. Degree in Industrial Engineering or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum one (1) year in Industrial Engineering or related field is required.
  • Three (3) years in Industrial Engineering or related field in an industrial setting is preferred.
  • Be accurate and complete, with detailed work.
  • Ability to organize, plan and set priorities.
  • Strong analytical ability and a disciplined problem-solving approach. Computer proficiency and experience using Microsoft Office software.
  • 2D & 3D CAD experience (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, etc.)
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
  • Effective communication skills: listening, writing, speaking and oral presentations.
  • Self-motivated and results oriented.
  • Able and willing to work with others on a team.
  • Due to the nature of work performed at this facility, US Person status may be required.
