Job Summary:
Altamira Human Resources supports employees in over a dozen states nationwide. While Altamira's HQ is in McLean, VA, the primary employee density will be in the Augusta, Georgia area, including this HR Business Partner role. The HR Business Partner will provide local support for over 200 employees, sitting both on base and Altamira's office in Harlem, GA, plus remote locations tied to Georgia managers. This role would work collaboratively with the rest of the HR Team to tackle ever-evolving priorities in support of corporate strategy and initiatives. This is a critical, creative, employee-facing role requiringadministration and execution of many human resource programsincluding but not limited to: employee relations including complaint investigation, performance and disciplinary matters; new hire onboarding and termination offboarding, management support; benefits support; HRIS data integrity and reporting; recognition, rewards, and wellness programs; employee morale initiatives and social event planning; training and development support; and overall problem-solving for areas of assignment.
Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Oversee day to day human resources operations of the Georgia office.
  • Provide support to the HR Director and Chief Human Capital Officer (CHCO) on strategic planning, initiatives, and reporting, primarily for the Georgia area but may occasionally also support corporate or actions for other locations.
  • Provide direct daily support to Operations line managers on HR related issues.
  • Coordinate with other departments as needed such as IT, Security, Office Administrator, Payroll, et al.
  • Interpret company policies and procedures and apply them to various employee relations, compensation, and benefits situations.
  • Lead and investigate employee relations cases in coordination with Operations management and with input and support from the HR Director and CHCO.
  • Support HRIS data analytics and reporting, as well as data integrity.
  • Responsible for local new hire onboarding, including weekly orientation program.
  • Deliver presentations to management, employees, and leadership regarding human resources policies and practices.
  • Support the health benefit renewal process, Open Enrollment, vendor relationships, invoice reconciliation, as well as other benefits such as education assistance.
  • Support HR Director during annual Merit planning process to ensure fair and compliant recommendations and actions.
  • Process and track off-cycle salary, promotion, and status/schedule change conversion requests, as well as requests for rewards such as spot bonus.
  • Support the bi-annual performance review process, communications, administration, and training.
  • Manage local Worker's Comp and OSHA issues and submissions
  • Process employee separation notices and related offboarding documentation, and conduct exit interviews to determine reasons behind separations.
Required Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and thorough understanding of local, state, and federal laws involving employment
  • Familiarity with human resources policies and procedures to ensure all systems and processes meet compliance requirements and organizational needs and goals
  • Extensive experience within a HRIS and associated automation and reporting
  • Experience with statistical analysis and creating impactful presentations
Standout Skills:
  • Experience with a multi-state environment
  • Experience with ADP highly desirable
  • Experience in a Federal Contracting environment a plus
  • HR certifications (SHRM-CP, PHR, CCP, etc.) preferred
