About the Role:


The FOCAC Technician are responsible for working rotating shifts for the Splicing Command and Control team. The technician will optimize system operation and resource utilization (NOC), perform network system analysis and planning, and provide assistance/guidance to Splicers and Technicians in the field.



What You'll Do:



  • Network surveillance (monitoring of critical paths and systems that comprise the Uniti Network).
  • Escalations from NOC Tier 1.
  • Proficient in the majority of the 32 different NMS/EMS systems and network platforms operated by Uniti. This includes devices at the Layer 1,2 and 3 within the network.
  • Primarily a support position.
  • Some circuit writing and provisioning responsibilities in areas of the network.



Do You Have:



  • 2-5 years NOC experience or equivalent.
  • College degree not required but a plus. Specifically, in the field of IS/IT.
  • Certifications in/on various platforms/technologies a plus.
  • Logical thought and troubleshooting.
  • Customer focused with de-escalation skills.



Even Better:



  • CompTIA Network+, CCENT
  • Ability to work multiple tasks in a stressful environment while maintaining a positive and pleasant manner with others.
  • Ability to handle a large volume of work and perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced office environment.
  • This position may require working in shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, to support 24/7 network operations.
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment and collaborate with various departments.
  • This position is based on-site at our Network Operations Center in Mobile, AL.
